New Story Coffee is the latest venture of Luke Inouchi, based in the beautiful, eastern most region of Australia, Byron Bay.
Luke Inouchi has a long history with coffee beginning in 1997 at Caffe e Cucina in Melbourne. Caffe e Cucina was a leading institution of authentic, first wave espresso culture in Australia. Over many years in the hospitality industry Luke’s experience with, and understanding of, specialty coffee grew, leading to his first cafe venture in Byron Bay in 2012, Cafe Oska, achieving top spot on Beanhunter with a final score of 8.8.
For years Luke roasted specialty coffee behind the scenes for his own enjoyment. After leaving Cafe Oska he made the decision to move into roasting coffee for other lovers of specialty coffee too. Early feedback has been very positive with his roasts already becoming recognised as outstanding.
Luke is aiming to emulate the same world class quality standards as top Melbourne roasters Proud Mary, Small Batch, Seven Seeds and more.
More than just delicious coffee, New Story Coffee is an exploration of alternate possibilities for us to live our daily lives - gentler on our amazing finite planet, more caring and supporting of each other and ultimately more abundant and joyful!
